SWS STUDENTS ARE GOING PLACES! All Season 2010-2011
Everyone at SWS would like to take the opportunity to congratulate our many students and faculty who are performing throughout the season in shows, commercials and or dance teams.
Angela Caslaino-Auditioned and was accepted onto Canada's National Dance Team. Choreographer Blake McGrath worked with the dancers before they ventured to Germany to compete. Canada's National Dance Team earned the highest technical mark! Congratulations Angela for being a part of such a prestigious event and team!
Emma Reilly, Lauren Hutchinson, Melissa Blackburn, Brittany Miranda, Jazmin Miranda, Emily Krolick, Aidan and Justine Tooth all performed in the Toronto International Ballet Theatre's "The Nutcracker". Performances were Saturday December 18th and Sunday December 19th 2010.
Stephanie McCandless is now known as the "Jam Girl" for Smuckers Perfect Spread Commercial!
Shyla Davenport has starred in two commercials lately! One airing in the US for Hess Gas Stations, (find it on you tube!) and the other this seasons advertisement for Moon Sand bake shop, seen on YTV and Teletoon!
Tierni Kessler, Megann McCandless, Santana Welsh, Kyal Rankine, Kristyn Pacione and Ashley Welsh all performed with Risa Productions in this seasons pantomime, "Cinderella" at the Whitby Courthouse Theatre.
Jessica Saunders from the senior competitive team performed on the Oshawa Little Theatre in the "The King & I" the classic stage and film adaptation of the original novel Anna & The King of Siam.
