Ashley Welsh

Ashley Welsh started dancing at age 4 and has been competing for over 8 years. Ashley has trained in all aspects of dance including ballet, pointe, hip hop, jazz, lyrical modern and more! She began her training at TDA where she won many special and title awards including Miss Pick the Star 2006.
Ashley has spent summers doing workshops across Ontario with famed choreographers like Niko Archambault, Mandy Moore, Tyce Doirio, Blake McGrath, and many more.
In 2007 Ashley joined Step With Style Dance Productions where she started her training with Amanda Coatham and Alexander Chifman. Now her training is focused and includes attention to technique as well as performance. Their triple threat program has allowed Ashley to train in areas not usually available in other studios. The singing and acting training she receives will help with her high level art performance program she is part of at her high school.
In 2005 Ashley auditioned and was 1 of 10 chosen to perform at The Toronto Street Festival in the "Fit One" dance competition.
In 2007 Stephen Grieg invited Ashley to be represented by Dacosta Talent, one of the top dance and talent agents in Toronto after meeting her at SWS Summer intensive. Ashley has appeared in 8 YTV spots, Upper Deck Commercials, Danced with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at Roy Thompson Hall, Danced in the Annual Breast Cancer fashion Show in Toronto, was featured in a General Motors Environmental Video, and performed in "Aladdin"by Risa Productions.
Ashley is a dedicated dancer and team member often taking extra time to cheer on her friends. Ashley puts 100% into everything she does. Ashley’s love of dance is apparent in every performance and she hopes to share passion and inspire each student she has the opportunity to teach.
