Cailey McCurdie
Teachers Assistant
Cailey McCurdie has been a competitive dancer for 9 years. Cailey has trained in all styles of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop, and various others. Cailey started dance at the age of 4 at the Dartmouth Dance academy. She moved at the age of 6 and began to compete with Janice Lynn School of Dance, winning numerous awards and scholarships in all genres of dance. In 2005 Cailey performed for the Raptor’s Mini Dance Pak, where she performed during Raptor’s games. This broadened Cailey’s perspective on the world of dance. It also introduced her to many new dance experiences, performing for thousands of people, as well as being on TV. It was this experience that encouraged her to pursue a more serious attitude about her career in dance, which brought her to Step With Style in 2007. When Cailey joined Step with Style Dance Productions, she started training with Amanda Coatham and Alexander Chifman. Their "Triple Threat" program has helped Cailey to grow as a dancer as well as in a variety of other art forms unique to Step With Style in particular. Amanda and Sasha have helped Cailey progress as a dancer, and expand her knowledge in all aspects of dance, making her a well-rounded dancer.
Cailey attends Anderson CVI and manages to hold an “A” average, even while being a competitive dance and working part-time. Cailey is very excited to be assisting at Step with Style. She looks forward to sharing her skills with other students and helping them achieve their goals.
