Jessica Stone
Ballet, Jazz, and Tap Instructor
Jessica comes to us from Bowmanville, Ontario. She has trained in every aspect of dance throughout her many years in the business. Jessica brings with her over a decade of experience in the dance industry as a dancer, instructor as well as choreographer.
Jessica’s training began with Theatre Dance Academy and later she decided to take her dancing to the next level by joining Vlad’s Dance Company. Throughout her years as a competitive dancer she has won numerous overall awards and has participated in many special events that have made her the mature dancer she is today.
Over the years Jessica has been involved in many B.A.T.D exams and competitions. She began by winning the Overall Novice solo at the B.A.T.D. competition then finished up with wining the Jazz National Winner of 2005.
As a part of Vlad's Dance Company Jessica was thrilled to have the opportunity to compete internationally as well as throughout Ontario against the top schools in Canada!
Throughout her training at Vlad’s Dance Company she was fortunate to be under the instruction of; Vlad Novitski, Linda Garneau, Derrick Yanford, Mary-Kay Felber as well as classes with the very well known Tiffany McLean.
Jessica is a believer in workshops. The more knowledge you can gain the better! She continues to flourish by making sure she is up to date with new workshops that are coming out. Recently she took part in The Next Level where she trained with Brian Friedman and Tyce Diorio from “So You Think You Can Dance?!”.
As a performer Jessica has had many opportunities thus far, internationally as well as locally. Jessica had a blast performing in Disneyland as a part of the Footloose Extreme Team, and has also enjoyed her time as a performer for the Italian Club and for the Oshawa Bandshell.
Jessica has always held a love for teaching dance. Starting out at Jean Simon’s Dance Studio her knowledge of educating young minds grew as she worked with many different levels and abilities. She is thrilled to be apart of the Step with Style team and is looking forward to great year!
