
Lauren Langille
Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop and Acro Instructor
Lauren Langille has taught at various studios including Step With Style Dance Productions, Chantal’s Dance Academy and Cynthia’s Creative Dance Arts. She teaches at both the competitive and recreational levels from ages 2 – adult. Her routines have won various awards with her Junior Jazz Group winning 1st overall. Her enthusiasm and passion motives her students to max out their potential!
Lauren’s passion is dance. She has been a competitive dancer since she was 6 years old training in jazz, tap, ballet/pointe, lyrical, acro and hip-hop. She trained and danced competitively with Amanda Coatham and Sasha Chifman at Step With Style Dance Productions and at Cynthia’s Creative Dance Arts. She has competed both in Canada and the United States performing in groups and solos. Her dance groups and solos have won numerous overall awards for performance, choreography, and highest mark awards at various competitions. Lauren won overall soloist at Dance Odyssey in 2005 and 2006.
Lauren has completed Royal Academy of Dance Ballet exams up to the Intermediate level. She has her level 1 Gymnastic Technical Artistic teaching certificate. She has choreographed high school dance routines, acrobatic routines for The Lion King elementary school production and has taught dance classes at CCDA and community programs.
She has performed at various venues such as the World Aids Day music concert, Starlight Wish Foundation and Canada Day Celebrations to name a few. Lauren performed with the Toronto Blue Jays Dance Team for 2 years, representing the team at the Skydome home games and at Queen’s Park Canada Day celebrations. For the past season, Lauren was a dancer at Canada’s Wonderland in the show Dance To the Music performing four shows a day.
In August 2006, Lauren was the only Canadian among fifteen performers chosen from across North America to participate in Heifer International Llama Drama Project, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Lauren choreographed and performed group and solo dance routines in the famed Robinson Centre.
Lauren has also enjoyed fashion print work through Ford Modelling Agency as well as doing numerous commercials and film work. Some of her works include: Degrassi, The Next Generation, “Prize Winner” with Laura Dern, “Music Man” with Matthew Broderick, Disney’s “Cowbells” with Aly and AJ and fashion shows with Hillary Duff.
Lauren is excited to share her enthusiasm and passion for dance with her students.
