Hair & Dress Code
We ask all female students keep their hair long enough to be pulled into a low ponytail and bangs long enough to be pinned back in a pouf. This is our competitive Hairstyle and is required of every female. If you require a haircut please speak with the Directors or if you are unsure about the guidelines when deciding on a haircut.
SWS has a dress code for ALL competitive students.
For Ballet, Choreography, Tap, Lyrical, and Jazz classes ALL competitive dancers are to wear black dance wear (body suit/ half top/ dance shorts- acceptable items- Shorts slightly above the knee and t shirts for boys) with proper shoes for each class.
Advanced Companies 1 and 2 students are to wear a black body suit with Beige Tights – (tight black dance shorts are optional) NO black tights.
Advanced Companies 3 to 8 and P.T. Crew (Junior & Intermediate) are to wear black dance clothing however NO black tights. Beige tights, Ballet tights or bare legs only. If wearing shorts- Shorts must be long enough to cover the entire bottom and top must fully cover the chest area -no revealing tops.

Appropriate dance wear in colour may be worn for the following classes; Hip Hop, Vocal, Break-dance, and Drama. It is recommended and encouraged that students bring baggy clothes for Hip Hop class.
To keep things fun throughout the season we will hold colour days for the students and teachers (approx once per month- they will be informed one week before of the day and colour).
