MOST IMPROVED JUNIOR AND INTERMEDIATE COMPETITIVE STUDENT
Each year Step with Style awards one competitive student from each level Pre Junior (6-8yrs), Junior (9-11yrs), Intermediate (12-15yrs), and Senior (15yrs+) and one recreational student (Junior/Intermediate/Senior) with the Most Improved Student Award.
Most Improved Awards are given to the student who not only improves as a dancer but also improves as a team player! Step with Style's instructors get together at the end of each dance season to discuss and choose the right person for these awards.
Most Improved winners must not only be hard working and respectful to all of their instructors, but also must be encouraging to other students and friends in the classroom. Although there are many young students who have these qualities we can only choose one student per age group.
The students who earn this award not only take a trophy home and have their name engraved on a studio plaque but they also win a card of 10 FREE summer open classes!
THE MOST IMPROVED SENIOR COMPETITIVE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
Over the years competitive students put forth an unbelievable amount of time and dedication. Step with Style with the help of our contributors has developed a scholarship to award The Most Improved Senior with a scholarship towards their next season at S.W. S. This candidate must exhibit great sportsmanship, talent, leadership, be a positive role model, as well as give 110% each and every class. The recipient receives all funds raised on their behalf from local businesses and family.
MOST POTENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Most Potential award is given to the student who exhibits not only the talent to become a wonderful dancer but also the attitude of a great team member. Recipient receives $100.00 From Sequins Plus
OVERALL EXCELLENCE AWARD
The Overall Excellence Award goes to the student with overall excellence in all areas of dance and sportsmanship. This award is for a dancer who consistently works to their fullest potential within the classroom, who helps others, who makes goals for themselves and once reaches those, makes another. The student who receives this award has excelled in all areas of dance, singing and acting as well as been a role model for others to look up to and respect by showing others respect.
Recipient receives $100.00 From Sequins Plus
THE HEATHER SCHOLARSHIP
The Heather scholarship is given to a student in the studio whom has encouraged positive thinking towards their peers and therefore are continuing the positive atmosphere our instructors instill. This award goes to someone who is courteous and helpful to everyone and brings a positive attitude to class with them 100% of the time. This scholarship is in memory of Heather Cornish: A wonderful woman who left behind two amazing daughters and a loving husband. Recipient receives $250.00 towards the following year of tuition.
