Carol Forrest - Workshop Instructor
A graduate of Ryerson Theatre School - C.C.D., Carol began her professional dance career as a member and soloist with the National Tap Dance Company of Canada. Performing around the world in a wide variety of shows and events; in dinner theatre and on board cruise ships; in music videos, industrial videos and national commercials.
Carol is president of Stop Tyme Productions Inc. Direction, choreography, costume design and production credits include shows and events for the Children’s Aid Foundation “Teddy Sings the Blues 2007”, “Come Aboard 2005” and “Teddy On Broadway 2004”, Sick Kids Believe Campaign “Reasons To Believe – A Celebration of Children”, Sick Kids Foundation – An Enchanted Evening “Mirror Mirror On The Wall”, CIBC “Celebrating Success”, Venture Steel “Stars Gala”, Remax, Rhapsody On Ice, Honda Of Canada, Benson & Hedges, Bell Mobility and Suzuki.
Choreography credits for film, commercials and musical theatre include “Rubies Bucket of Blood” starring Angela Bassett, “Maple Leaf Village … A Summer of Fun” for York Hanover, “Kiss Me Kate”, “Dancing After Dark” and “Oklahoma”. From 1992 to 1999, Carol was the choreographer and costume designer for Regent Holidays Ltd. “Cruising Paradise” Winter Cruise Entertainment Programs.
Teaching credits for dance include Sheridan College Musical Theatre Department 1995 to 2001, George Brown College for Ballet Jorgen and Metro Movement. Credits for costume design for live events, film and television include General Motors of Canada, Mastercard, Toyota, Nortel, “Scarlet Runners” director Teresa Hannigan, Crayola for Pester Productions, Quest Personals for Corus Entertainment, Radio Shack industrial film for Channel One Productions, Canada Blooms, Fashion Cares 2002, Smirnoff, “Just Jazz” for Inside Out Productions, GoldCorp and Suzuki. Carol is a permitee for IATSE 873.
