JOSEPH OLADIMEJI
Instructor Ballet Contemporary Stretch & Jazz
Joseph was a well-known competitive dancer from the Durham Region who moved on to become a successful instructor/ choreographer in the Kingston and Toronto dance scene.
A graduate of Step with Style’s triple threat program, Joseph is well versed in all genres- his love being that of contemporary, ballet and jazz.
Joseph was an annual participant in the Educating Leader of Dance Program and spent years assisting the director and different instructors.
As a member of Step with Style’s staff, Joseph has worked with children ages 7- adult for; open choreography classes, partnering, summer work-shops, technique classes, private lessons and competitive choreography. Josephs work was outstanding and landed him a role as a lead choreographer and performer in the 2018 production “The Greatest Showman”.
Joseph enjoyed his time instructing his own classes at Queens University where he majored in Psychology. Performances at Queens included; Bi Annual University Recitals- “Week of Wonders” and the choreographic piece- “Mams A”. He absolutely loved his years working as a dancer and choreographer for; “Vogue Charity Fashion Show”-performer/ choreographer, “Grease”- performer & “Footloose”- performer.
Joseph continues to study the art of dance and choreograph for artists and institutions that call on him. He has supported dancers to achieve their personal goals as well as overall winning goals. His choreographic work has held space in the top 10 of the Senior division at the reputable competition- Breaking Bounds Dance Challenge.
One of Josephs favorite things to do when he is home is to instruct at his family’s studio. Sharing his knowledge and passion with all but specifically encouraging and inspiring the boys is very important to him. A member of the family, Joseph loves to be around to offer support at shows, competitions and in classes.
