VICTORIA PURANAUTH
Senior Instructor
Victoria Puranauth (Miss Vicky) has spent over a decade training at SWS. 0ver the years she has acquired a wealth of knowledge on all age groups and genres that she is reinvesting into her students here at Step with Style!
Aa a part of the prestigious Arts School here in the Durham Region O’Neil Vocational Institute Victoria has choreographed several pieces. Her talents are evident in all she demonstrates both as a teacher and dancer/choreographer.
Victoria is self-driven and motivated. She has always considered a future in dance and at the young age of twelve she made the wise decision to venture into educating herself in another chapter of the arts – assisting! A graduate of The E.L.D. teachers’ program (Educating Leaders of Dance, Victoria has become an excellent instructor. She continues to assist as well as take instructional courses to better her techniques in this area and keep her knowledge and responses progressive.
As a competitor Vicky has moved up through the ranks Novice- Fulltime and last season hit an all new level! She was honored to achieved a finalist position to represent Step with Style at Move Dance Competition with Shawn Desman for 2023!
Victoria has been a large part of several productions; “The Greatest Showman” tigress dancer, “Madonna” – cast Material Chorus line and “The Free Guy”
Due to her talents as a performer Vicky was hand-picked for the lead role- “That Guy” in the 2022 production of “The Free Guy”. Vicky thoroughly enjoys comedic acting in addition to dancing making this role one of her absolute favourites to date. Most recently Victoria performed as the lead soloists of “Hindi Sad Diamonds” in the show “All You Need Is Love”.
Victoria was hired on to perform with the Mini Pops Live this season for their 2022 “Bright Lights Tour” and plans to participate more in professional ventures throughout her training process.
Miss Vicky is excited to be on staff here at SWS and can’t wait to help motivate her students to find their passion and love for the arts that has changed her life!
